Art History Lecture Series | Pioneering American Women Photographers
This lecture explores the contributions of pioneering American women photographers from the late nineteenth century, including Alice Austen and Myra Albert Wiggins, who advanced photography as a respectable career. Presented by art historian Rebecca Albiani as part of the Frye Art Museum's Art History Lecture Series. The lecture covers photojournalism, portraiture, and art photography.
