Privacy policy

The short version: we collect almost nothing, we sell nothing, and if you never sign in we don't even know who you are.

If you just browse

You can use all of Showout without an account. Browsing sets no cookies and builds no advertising profile. Like every website, our servers keep standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and debugging; they're retained briefly and not used to identify you.

If you create an account

Signing in (with Google, or with an email and password) exists so you can save events and get reminded about things you care about. When you do, we store:

  • Your name and email address (from Google, or what you typed at signup).
  • The events you save and the preferences you set.
  • If you use the concierge chat, the messages you send it — so the conversation works and so we can improve answers.

If you sign in with Google, we receive only basic profile information — never your contacts, calendar, or anything else in your Google account. Passwords are stored hashed; we can't read them.

What we do with it

Run the product. That's the whole list. Your data is used to show you your saved events, send you the emails you asked for, and keep the service working.

What we will never do

  • Sell or rent your personal data. To anyone. Ever.
  • Run third-party advertising trackers on the site.
  • Email you marketing you didn't ask for.

Service providers

Showout runs on standard infrastructure providers (hosting, database, email delivery) that process data on our behalf under their own confidentiality obligations. Sign-in via Google is governed by Google's privacy policy for the sign-in step itself.

Your choices

Want a copy of your data, or want your account and everything in it deleted? Email hello@showout.ai from the address on the account and it will be handled — no forms, no dark patterns, no "are you sure" gauntlet.
