The Phinney Neighborhood Association hosts a Día de los Muertos celebration featuring a community ofrenda, traditional dances, a poetry open mic, food trucks, crafts, and an artist marketplace. The event honors deceased loved ones with a procession and cultural activities for all ages.

  • Raul Sanchez

    Raúl Sánchez is a bilingual (English, Spanish) and sometimes trilingual (Nahuatl) poet and community collaborator. He was the 2019-21 City of Redmond Washington's Poet Laureate. He teaches bilingual poetry to middle school students through the Jack Straw Cultural Center. He has volunteered for PONGO Teen Writing at the Juvenile Detention Center.

  • Jump On Languages is a language school based in Seattle. Our mission is to connect people through the joy of language and cultural exchange in a dynamic, interactive way. We offer in-person and online programs for kids, youth, and adults. We offer in-person afterschool programs, preschool, summer camps, day camps, and in-person tutoring, as welll as online language tutoring for kids and adults.
