Jess Franco's film strips monster movie tropes down to their dreamlike images: a castle in fog, a coffin opening, lightning over a lab. Howard Vernon's Dracula, Frankenstein's Monster, and the Wolf Man drift through Gothic landscapes with little dialogue or plot, driven by Bruno Nicolai's score.
