Drink the Sea
Drink the Sea brings together Peter Buck (R.E.M.'s guitarist), Barrett Martin (Screaming Trees drummer), and Alain Johannes (multi-instrumentalist from Eleven and Queens of the Stone Age) for a one-off supergroup performance on Sunday, August 30 at Vashon Center for the Arts. If you want to hear what happens when three serious alternative rock musicians collaborate, this is the rare chance to find out.

  • Peter Lawrence Buck (born December 6, 1956) is an American musician and songwriter. He was a co-founder and the lead guitarist of the alternative rock band R.E.M.; he played the banjo and mandolin on several R.E.M. songs. Throughout his career with R.E.M. (1980–2011), as well as during his subsequent solo career, Buck has been at various times a member of numerous side project groups.

  • Barrett Harrington Martin (born April 14, 1967) is an American drummer and record producer from Washington. He is perhaps best known for his work with the alternative rock bands Screaming Trees and Mad Season. He was also a member of Skin Yard, Tuatara, and Walking Papers, and has performed as a session musician for many artists in a variety of genres.

    Alain Johannes Mociulski (born May 2, 1962) is a Chilean-American multi-instrumentalist and vocalist, whose primary instruments are guitar and bass.
