Ragamala Dance Company is an independent Bharatanatyam dance ensemble based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, founded in 1992 by Ranee Ramaswamy and co-directed by Ranee and Aparna Ramaswamy. Under their artistic direction, the company explores the dynamic tension between ancestral Indian traditions and contemporary expression through original choreography that examines mythology, spirituality, and the immigrant experience.
