A fundraiser luncheon for a children's charity featuring Angela Poe Russell, a Seattle playwright and journalist who's won Emmys and a Gracie Award for her work in TV and theater. Russell wrote the book and lyrics for "Aviatrix," a musical about pioneering aviator Bessie Coleman. The event is Friday, November 6 at Meydenbauer Center in downtown Bellevue.

Angela Poe Russell
Seattle-based playwright and journalist who serves as Playwright in Residence at Seattle Public Theater. Russell is the book and lyrics writer for the musical 'Aviatrix,' which tells the story of pioneering aviator Bessie Coleman. Her career spans television journalism, where she earned a National Gracie Award and Northwest Emmy Award, to theatrical storytelling and multimedia production.
