Noveltease Theatre strips down Shakespeare's comedy into a burlesque adaptation, mixing dance, text, and neo-burlesque styling to remake a classic on their own terms. Thursday, September 24 at Theatre Off Jackson in the International District—a 140-seat nonprofit space that actually supports independent artists like these. Fair warning: it's 18+.

Noveltease Theatre produces contemporary burlesque plays, blending neo-burlesque styling with the theatrical roots of burlesque theatre in the 1880s. Through a combination of text and dance, we seek to embody literature and create shared community around storytelling.
