The Burke Museum opens free on the first Thursday of September, giving you a chance to wander through 18 million artifacts without paying—dinosaurs, fossils, Pacific Northwest Native art, and global cultural collections included. It's on the UW campus in the University District, and genuinely useful if you've been meaning to see what they've got but haven't justified the admission yet.
