Music in the Arboretum: Jovino Santos Neto Quintet

Brazilian pianist and flutist Jovino Santos Neto brings his quintet to the arboretum on Thursday, August 13—a chance to hear a three-time Latin Grammy nominee in the 230-acre Washington Park setting. Santos Neto spent 15 years with legendary percussionist Hermeto Pascoal before settling in Seattle, where he's led his award-winning group ever since. The Graham Visitors Center hosts.

Three-time Latin Grammy nominee Jovino Santos Neto is a master pianist, flutist, composer, arranger, conductor and educator from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. After 15 years as a member of the legendary Hermeto Pascoal Group, he moved to Seattle in 1993, where he has established himself as a charismatic performer leading his award-winning Quinteto and collaborating with world-class musicians.
