Music in the Arboretum: Jovino Santos Neto Quintet
Brazilian pianist and flutist Jovino Santos Neto brings his quintet to the arboretum on Thursday, August 13, performing amid the trees at the Graham Visitors Center in Madison Park. A three-time Latin Grammy nominee who spent 15 years with Rio de Janeiro's Hermeto Pascoal Group before settling in Seattle, Santos Neto leads one of the region's sharpest jazz ensembles. It's free and all ages.

    Three-time Latin Grammy nominee Jovino Santos Neto is a master pianist, flutist, composer, arranger, conductor and educator from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. After 15 years as a member of the legendary Hermeto Pascoal Group, he moved to Seattle in 1993, where he has established himself as a charismatic performer leading his award-winning Quinteto and collaborating with world-class musicians.
