Music in the Arboretum: Jovino Santos Neto Quintet

Brazilian pianist and flutist Jovino Santos Neto brings his quintet to the Washington Park Arboretum on Thursday, August 13, for an outdoor jazz concert at the Graham Visitors Center. A three-time Latin Grammy nominee who's been a Seattle fixture since the '90s, Santos Neto blends jazz sophistication with Brazilian roots—the kind of thing that sounds even better surrounded by 230 acres of trees.

Three-time Latin Grammy nominee Jovino Santos Neto is a master pianist, flutist, composer, arranger, conductor and educator from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. After 15 years as a member of the legendary Hermeto Pascoal Group, he moved to Seattle in 1993, where he has established himself as a charismatic performer leading his award-winning Quinteto and collaborating with world-class musicians.
