An organization is hosting a book launch and author talk centered on nature, art, and literature at Wyncote Forum in Capitol Hill on Wednesday, August 26. If you're into spoken word or just want to hear someone talk seriously about how art and the natural world intersect, this is a low-pressure way to spend an evening that welcomes all ages.

    Born and raised in the mountain town of Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Emily Poole has been exploring the wild spaces of the western United States since shortly before she could walk. Emily holds a BFA in illustration from Rhode Island School of Design and has created work for organizations such as Creature Conserve, HawkWatch International, and the National Museum of Wildlife Art.
