Noveltease Theatre — Much Ado About Nothing Burlesque

Noveltease Theatre strips down Shakespeare's comedy of errors and mistaken identities into a burlesque show on Wednesday, September 23 at Theatre Off Jackson in the International District. If you want your classic literature with sequins, sass, and a queer sensibility, this is the venue for it—a nonprofit 140-seat theater that actually books this kind of thing.

Noveltease Theatre produces contemporary burlesque plays, blending neo-burlesque styling with the theatrical roots of burlesque theatre in the 1880s. Through a combination of text and dance, we seek to embody literature and create shared community around storytelling.
