Saturday Morning Market History Tours
Guided walking tours of Pike Place Market led by Friends of the Market volunteers, exploring the market's history, artwork, and hidden features. Tours cover the main shopping areas and back passageways of the nation's oldest continuously operating farmers market.

Recurs: Every Saturday in May, August, September, and October. In June: June 6 and 13. In July: July 11, 18, and 25.

Lineup

  • We offer small group tours of the Market on Saturday mornings and some afternoons. The tour schedule this year will be modified to start in May and exclude a few Saturdays to avoid conflicts with soccer world cup games and expected crowds. These tours are led by Friends of the Market board members and volunteers.

  • Pike Place Market: It’s one of the most visited places in Seattle. Locals and tourists alike come to shop for fresh produce and hand-crafted items, enjoy a meal with stunning views, or just wander, experiencing the vibrant and colorful setting. Hard to imagine it might not be here at all if property developers and city officials were to have had their way.
