SFD+I PERFORMANCE COHORT SHOWCASE
The SFD+I Performance Cohort Showcase brings together dancers and performers—including Undercurrent, Nia-Amina Minor, Mark Haim, and Kara Beadle—for an evening of work developed through the program. It's happening at 12th Avenue Arts in Capitol Hill on July 31st, so if you want to see what a cohort of local performers has been cooking up, this is the night.

    Fellowship Awards 2022 Learn About Fellowship Awards Nia-Amina Minor is a movement based artist and choreographer. Her creative work uses performance and dance film to converse with Black realities and investigate the intersections of physical movement, memory, and rhythm. Nia-Amina holds a MFA from UC Irvine and a BA from Stanford University.

    Kara Beadle is a performance/movement artist, dance educator, and massage therapist based in Seattle, WA. Having studied postmodern techniques, improvisational dance, and site-specific performance at Texas Woman’s University from artists such as Jordan Fuchs, Sarah Gamblin, and Rosemary Candelario, Kara continues to investigate and challenge the values of improvisation, time, and setting in their own choreography…
