A Black History Month celebration featuring a rare screening of the 1926 race film The Flying Ace, an aviation drama created for Black audiences during the era of segregation, accompanied by acclaimed silent film organist Dennis James performing live music celebrating Fats Waller on a 1924 Wurlitzer organ.

Fats Waller
Thomas Wright "Fats" Waller (1904-1943) was an American jazz pianist, organist, composer, and singer whose innovations in the Harlem stride style laid the foundation for modern jazz piano. A widely popular star during the jazz and swing eras, he composed over 400 songs including classics like "Ain't Misbehavin'" and "Honeysuckle Rose," many co-written with lyricist Andy Razaf.
