Bolstered by his family’s background, Alex Sill began playing guitar and piano at age 12 and progressed briskly, amassing both prestigious awards and acclaimed mentors over the following decade. Sometimes, like when Sill earned a top spot in Lee Ritenour’s international Six String Theory Competition, the two intersected.
Phillip Whack is a native of Columbia, SC. It was there that he was a product of his environment and grew up hearing the likes of Miles Davis, Nat King Cole, Earth, Wind and Fire, The Doobie Bros, Stevie Wonder, Prince, Louie Armstrong, Grover Washington Jr, James Brown, and many others in the family household.
