SOMM Talks in the Library
Two Washington winemakers—Sean Perryman of 40 Acres Blending, the state's only Black-owned vermouth company, and Chaitanya Bangur of Sama Cellars—talk shop at the SOMM Hotel in Woodinville on Wednesday, August 12. If you're curious about small-batch wine and vermouth production from people actually making the stuff, this is a straightforward way to hear them out.

Recurs: Wednesdays

Lineup

  • Welcome to 40 Acres Blending Co. The world's only black owned, small batch vermouth company hand bottled in Washington state. After completing an internship in wine production at JM Cellars and sparking an interest in the vermouth culture of Spain, Sean Perryman turned to the hobby of vermouth making. Vermouth blending seamlessly combined his obsession for craft cocktails and wine production.

  • Sama Cellars

SAMĀ CELLARS, a family-owned Washington state boutique winery, is the vision of an Indian immigrant, Chaitanya Bangur (Chaz), who brings a unique perspective to the local wine scene. We pride ourselves on producing small batch wines, crafted meticulously from grapes sourced from some of the most iconic, family-run, and sustainably farmed vineyards in the region.
