British conductor, collaborator, and multimedia producer born in Canberra, Australia in 1972. Currently Music Director of Symphony Tacoma and Director of Orchestral Activities at Boston University, she is recognized by the New York Times for her "unquestionable strength and authority" and has conducted on six continents with major orchestras including the Royal Philharmonic and Orchestre National de Lyon.
Symphony Tacoma Voices is a 70+ member diverse chorus consisting of professional singers, music educators, and amateur singers from across the South Puget Sound region. Under the direction of Geoffrey Boers since 2002, the ensemble performs regularly with Symphony Tacoma and presents annual standalone concerts exploring a wide array of choral music.
