The Music of Studio Ghibli with the Seattle Symphony

The Seattle Symphony performs the sweeping orchestral scores from Studio Ghibli's animated films on Wednesday, September 16 at Benaroya Hall in downtown Seattle. If you've ever gotten chills from the music in Spirited Away or Howl's Moving Castle, hearing these scores played live by a full orchestra is a different experience entirely. It's the kind of thing that makes you understand why film music matters.

Seattle Symphony
Seattle Wind Symphony is a 55-member audition-level woodwind, brass, and percussion ensemble founded in 2011 to present professional quality symphonic wind music to the general public, educators, and students in the Puget Sound region. The ensemble is dedicated to performing compelling literature from diverse composers and inspiring young musicians by modeling high standards of music and performance.
