Watercolors from Natural Pigments (in-person)

Anneke Wilder leads a hands-on watercolor workshop using pigments made from natural materials at the Center for Urban Horticulture on Sunday, September 20, 2026. If you've wondered what it actually looks like to paint with ground minerals and plant matter instead of tubes from a store, here's your chance to find out—and you'll do it surrounded by 16 acres of gardens in the University District.

Anneke Wilder
Anneke Wilder explored the countryside of her South Carolina home as a young person. Her curiosity about nature has stayed with her wherever she goes. Drawing accompanied her on those journeys. In college she studied biology and ecology in a serious way, then chose to combine both interests in making a career.
