Whim W'Him | Spring '27
Whim W'Him presents Spring '27, featuring new choreographic works by Maurya Kerr, Ihsan Rustem, and Olivier Wevers. The program explores the intersection of imagination, emotion, and movement through poetic, musical, and theatrical visions.

Lineup

  • Maurya Kerr

    Maurya Kerr is a bay area-based choreographer, poet, performer, educator, filmmaker, and the artistic director of tinypistol. Much of her work, across disciplines, is focused on black and brown people reclaiming their birthright to both wonderment and the quotidian.

  • Swiss based choreographer Ihsan Rustem was born in London, where he trained at the Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance. In 2020, he co-founded the Swiss dance company Cie. La Ronde with Cathy Marston, which he led until 2025. From 2015 to 2025, he served as Resident Choreographer at NW Dance Project in Portland, Oregon (USA), and has created 14 works for the company since 2010.
