Wolf Parade is a Canadian indie rock band formed in Montreal, in 2003. The band consists of Spencer Krug (vocals, keyboards), Dan Boeckner (vocals, guitar) and Arlen Thompson (drums). During live performances, the band are currently joined by Arcade Fire's Tim Kingsbury on various instruments. Multi-instrumentalist Dante DeCaro and synth-player Hadji Bakara are both recurring former members of the band.
Dan Boeckner (; born 5 February 1978) is a Canadian singer, songwriter, guitarist and podcaster. He is best known as one of the frontmen of Wolf Parade, which he helped found in 2003. Since 2013, he has also been a member of the Montreal-based band Operators. Boeckner began his career in the Victoria, Canada music scene, playing in multiple bands including Atlas Strategic.
My name is Spencer Krug. I am central to a handful of projects (Wolf Parade, Sunset Rubdown, Moonface, Swan Lake), and have been on a number of labels (Sub Pop, Jagjaguwar, Paper Bag, Royal Mountain, Global Symphonic, Absolutely Kosher.) Pronounced Kroog is the self-made label on which I now release new music under my own name, works from past projects, and more.
