Our mission is to produce and distribute world-class organic beer using local resources, low-impact practices, and socially equitable initiatives in order to promote a healthier, happier, and more conscious community. In September 2012, two friends turned a Bellingham basement into the starting point of Aslan Brewing Company. With nothing more than a 5-gallon homebrew setup and a shared dream, they set out to redefine beer and business in their community. Their mission was clear: brew quality, certified organic beer while using commerce to drive positive social impact. Together, they launched a pilot brewery in a garage down the street, dedicating a year to honing the knowledge and skills required to establish their own commercial microbrewery. In May 2014, after nine grueling months renovating and refurbishing a historic building in downtown Bellingham, they opened the doors to Aslan’s Brewpub. Their partnership quickly grew into a team of 30, as Aslan expanded its reach throughout the city and state. In January 2016, Aslan doubled down on its commitment to the Triple Bottom Line and became a Certified B Corporation, knowing it would have to be more conscious about its impact as it grew.
