He associate produced Apichatpong Weerasethakul’s 2010 Cannes Palme d’Or winner UNCLE BOONMEE WHO CAN RECALL HIS PAST LIVES and CEMETERY OF SPLENDOUR. In 2006, Danny received the DGA Honor in recognition of his humanitarian and advocacy efforts on behalf of economic and social justice causes, and in 2011 he was honored with a Pioneer Award from the National Civil Rights Museum. He is the recipient of the Marian Anderson Award, and a Lifetime Achievement Award from Amnesty International USA. Internationally, Danny served as a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Development Program from 1998-2004, focusing on issues of poverty, disease and economic development in Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean. He was presented in 2011 with the prestigious Medaille des Arts et des Letters from the French Ministry of Culture.Browse all performers
