Christopher Frank Carter is an English musician, tattoo artist, and frontman born April 27, 1984, known for his ferocious live presence and confrontational image. He rose to prominence as the lead vocalist of hardcore punk band Gallows (2005-2011), later formed the melodic rock project Pure Love (2011-2014), and currently leads Frank Carter & the Rattlesnakes (2015-present), a punk rock band blending hardcore intensity with power-pop sensibilities. Carter is also recognized for his work as a tattoo artist and his advocacy for creating safe, inclusive environments at live performances.
