Henry Lau (헨리, 刘宪华) is a singer, songwriter, actor, model, entertainer, producer, restaurateur (Xiao Zhan Eats), and a multi-instrumentalist based in South Korea and China. Shortly after being awarded the Gold Medal in Violin Performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Canada, Henry launched his music career in 2008 as a member of popular Korean pop group Super Junior-M. He then launched his solo career in 2013 with Trap. His original soundtrack “It’s You” released in 2017 became the #1 top-streamed Korean OST on Spotify for two consecutive years in 2018 and 2019. On September 17, 2020, Henry’s collaboration with Jeremy McKinnon and MAX for the official anthem of the 2020 League of Legends World Championship, titled “Take Over”, was released. On November 18, 2020, Henry released his third EP, Journey, alongside its lead single “Radio”. Henry made his Hollywood debut in 2019 with the film A Dog’s Journey produced by Amblin Entertainment, the sequel to the 2017 film A Dog’s Purpose. In 2020, the action/fantasy movie “Double World” nominated for “Best Visual Effects” and “Best Action Choreography” at the 39th Hong Kong Film Award starring Henry premiered on Netflix and China’s streaming service iQiyi, becoming the first movie in mainland China’s film history to achieve simultaneous global release. Henry is also known for his regular appearances in the award-winning television programs in :Korea- Real Man and I Live Alone; China- Back to field, Super Vocal(judge and mentor), and Dance Smash(judge). He also appeared as a judge on the Chinese reality show Dance Smash and joined the fourth season of Street Dance of China as one of the four team captains alongside Wang Yibo, Lay Zhang, and Han Geng.
