JODI is a pioneering internet art collective founded in 1994 by Joan Heemskerk (born 1968, Netherlands) and Dirk Paesmans (born 1965, Belgium). They were among the first artists to investigate and subvert conventions of the Internet, creating web art, software art, and artistic computer game modifications. Their work is represented by Upstream Gallery in Amsterdam and has been exhibited at major institutions including the Whitney Museum and MoMA.Browse all performers
