Kim Gordon is an American musician, visual artist, and multi-disciplinary creative best known as the bassist, guitarist, and vocalist of the experimental post-punk band Sonic Youth (1981-2011). Born in Rochester, New York in 1953, she has maintained a parallel career as a visual artist, fashion designer, and producer throughout her music career. Following Sonic Youth's dissolution, she formed the experimental duo Body/Head and has released multiple solo albums, most recently 'The Collective' (2024) and 'Play Me' (2026), earning her first Grammy nominations.Browse all performers
