Malik Elassal is a stand-up comedian, actor, and writer known for his sharp, heartfelt comedy.His Lebanese-Canadian roots bring depth and perspective to his storytelling, earning him a spoton Vulture’s 2024 “Comedians You Should and Will Know” list. Named a New Face at JFLMontreal 2022, he went on to tour nationally and earned viral acclaim with one of Don’t TellComedy’s most-watched sets, racking up over 3.5 million views. He returned to Just For Laughsin 2023 to perform at a Gala and as a part of the “Just For The Culture” Show, where he was astand out. On screen, Elassal stars in the FX/Hulu series Adults, playing Samir, an earnest over-thinker navigating life, love, and unemployment in New York City. Before this, Malik won TopComic in his home city of Calgary, recorded sets for television at the Winnipeg Comedy Festivaland CBC’s New Wave of Standup, and performed the titular track of the Just For Laughsoriginals album ‘Yeehaw Hell Yeah’. He currently resides in Brooklyn and performs regularlyaround the city and in clubs across the continent.
