Boris Grebenshikov is a Russian singer, songwriter, and guitarist who is the founder and lead singer of the band Aquarium, active since 1972. A prominent figure in the founding generation of Russian rock music, he began his career in the late 1960s influenced by the Beatles and Rolling Stones, and spent 17 years working underground during the Soviet era before gaining international recognition.
