Edward Calhoun King (1949–2018) was an American rock musician best known as a founding member and guitarist of the psychedelic rock band Strawberry Alarm Clock and as guitarist and bassist for the Southern rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd from 1972-1975 and 1987-1996. He co-wrote several of Lynyrd Skynyrd's most recognizable hits including 'Sweet Home Alabama' and 'Saturday Night Special,' and played on the original recording of 'Free Bird.'Browse all performers
