Jae Carmichael

Jae Carmichael (1925-2005) was a Los Angeles-born modernist artist known for her landscape, still life, marine, and mural works. In addition to painting and exhibiting watercolors nationally, she produced sculpture, oil paintings, and independent films, including the Emmy-nominated 1976 film Heritage of Hope. She was a founding director of the Pacific Asia Museum and served as director of the Pasadena School of Fine Arts.
