Ya Tseen

Ya Tseen is the musical moniker of Nicholas Galanin, an Alaska-based Tlingit artist who creates a dreamy fusion of electropop, indie rock, and hip-hop. His work addresses socio-political subjects and themes of Indigenous sovereignty, connection to Land, and collective liberation. A prolific multi-disciplinary artist working across music, sculpture, video, and installation, Galanin has performed across North America, Europe, and Australia, with his debut album Indian Yard released on Sub Pop in 2021.
