Car Seat Headrest is an American indie rock band formed in Leesburg, Virginia and currently based in Seattle, Washington. Beginning as a solo lo-fi project by Will Toledo in 2010, the band has evolved into a full ensemble known for raw, vulnerable indie rock that blends power pop melodies with experimental production. The project gained widespread acclaim following their 2015 signing to Matador Records and subsequent full-band releases.
