Thai filmmaker and visual artist born in Bangkok in 1970 who works between cinema and contemporary art, creating feature films, videos, and installations. Known for award-winning films including Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives (2010 Palme d'Or winner) and Memoria (2021 Jury Prize), his work explores themes of memory, dreams, and spirituality through unconventional narratives and manipulation of light and time.
