Tae Keller is an American children's book author born in Honolulu, Hawaii in 1993. She is the youngest winner of the Newbery Medal, awarded in 2021 for her book 'When You Trap a Tiger,' which draws inspiration from Korean folktales and tells the story of a girl and her relationship with her aging grandmother.
