Barbara Earl Thomas is a Seattle-based visual artist, writer, and arts administrator born in 1948. Known for her work in painting, papercuts, prints, and large-scale installations that explore race, history, and social narratives, she studied under Jacob Lawrence and has exhibited nationally for over 30 years. Her work is held in major collections including the Seattle Art Museum, Tacoma Art Museum, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
