Lauren Iida
Lauren Iida is a Japanese American cut paper artist and public artist born in Seattle, holding a BFA from Cornish College of the Arts (2014). She specializes in intricately hand-cut paper works incorporating watercolor, ink wash, and shadow play, often exploring themes of Japanese American heritage, WWII incarceration, and her experiences in Cambodia. Iida is the founder of Open Studio Cambodia, an arts collective supporting emerging Cambodian contemporary artists, and her work has been exhibited at major institutions including Tacoma Art Museum, Wing Luke Museum, and Seattle Art Fair.Browse all performers
