Karl Wilhelm Alexander Ekman is a Swedish ballet dancer and choreographer born in 1984, known for his witty, fast-paced contemporary ballet works that blend humor, innovation, and audience engagement. He has created over 50 pieces for more than 45 dance companies worldwide, including the Royal Swedish Ballet, Boston Ballet, and Nederlands Dans Theater, and frequently composes music and designs sets for his own works. His notable pieces include Cacti (2010), A Swan Lake (2014), and Tyll, and he also directs films and creates live performances in pop-up locations globally.
