Christian Petzold
Christian Petzold (1677–1733) was a German composer and organist active primarily in Dresden, Saxony. He achieved high reputation during his lifetime as a court chamber composer and organist, and is best remembered for the Minuet in G major, long attributed to Johann Sebastian Bach until authorship was established in the 1970s. His works include trio sonatas, harpsichord concertos, organ pieces, and vocal compositions.Browse all performers
