Robert Bruce Inverarity

Robert Bruce Inverarity (1909-1999) was an American artist, art educator, photographer, museum director, author, and anthropologist known for his woodblock and linocut printmaking. Based in the Pacific Northwest, he was fascinated with Native American culture from early youth and became a leading advocate for Northwest Coast indigenous art. He also directed major museums including the Museum of International Folk Art in Santa Fe and the Adirondack Museum in New York.
