Emily Holt
Emily Holt is a mixed media artist and art educator based in Nashville, Tennessee, who works primarily with sculpture, painting, drawing, collage, book art, and puppetry. She earned her BFA from Middle Tennessee State University and her MFA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and was awarded the Joan Mitchell Foundation MFA Grant in 2001. Her work features monstrous creatures that are both playful and grotesque, often created from found materials like wood scraps and painting drop cloths that already contain visual information.Browse all performers
