Robert Sperry
Robert Sperry (1927-1998) was one of America's preeminent ceramists who helped shape the University of Washington's ceramics program into one of the country's most influential. A restless creative force fascinated by chemistry and experimentation, Sperry pushed clay to its boundaries as a medium while also working as a painter, printmaker, and filmmaker. His works appear in major collections including the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History, the Renwick Gallery, and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.Browse all performers
