Tom Douglas is an American country music songwriter born January 27, 1953, who emerged in the music industry at age 41 and has since written numerous #1 hits for artists including Tim McGraw, Miranda Lambert, Lady A, and Kenny Chesney. His Grammy Award-winning song 'The House That Built Me' won ACM's first-ever 'Song of the Decade' award and remained at #1 for four weeks.
