Juan Alonso
Juan Alonso-Rodríguez is a Cuban-born, self-taught visual artist with over three decades of career spanning the Pacific Northwest and now based in St. Petersburg, Florida. He transitioned from music to visual arts in 1982 and is known for acrylic paintings and public sculptures featured in major museums and collections including the Tacoma Art Museum and Portland Art Museum. A vocal advocate for underrepresented artists, he serves as a Seattle Arts Commissioner and has received numerous awards including the 2019 Artist Trust Fellowship.Browse all performers
