Helmi Juvonen
Helmi Dagmar Juvonen (1903–1985) was an American artist active in Seattle, Washington, best known for her prints, paintings, and drawings. Associated with the Northwest School, she was particularly drawn to Native American ceremonies and culture, developing close relationships with tribal leaders and creating extensive documentation of their traditions. Though largely unknown outside the Pacific Northwest during her lifetime, she received significant recognition and acclaim during her final years.Browse all performers
