Lev Ivanov
Lev Ivanov (1834–1901) was a Russian ballet dancer, choreographer, and Second Balletmaster of the Imperial Ballet. He is most famous for choreographing Acts II and IV of Swan Lake (including the iconic Dance of the Little Swans), The Nutcracker, and Act II of Cinderella. A key figure in late 19th-century Russian choreography, Ivanov excelled at creating visual illusions through ensemble movement patterns and is considered a forerunner of Michel Fokine.Browse all performers
