Dave Malloy is an American composer, playwright, lyricist, and performer born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1976. He is best known for the Tony Award-winning electropop opera Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812, and has created innovative chamber musicals including Ghost Quartet, Octet, and Preludes that fuse pop, folk, electronic, and theatrical elements.
